The Iowa City Public Library had the idea of using their used book to make a playhouse for the childrens section.  The ideas you can find on pinterest are never ending.

http://www.pinterest.com/nypl/weddings/    I found that the New York Public Library had a section on pinterest that covered weddings done in libraries and even a how to on having a literary wedding.  Who associates libraries with weddings.  What a cool idea.

I usually just seem to use pinterest for ideas for book displays, kid program ideas & projects, and book lists.  So many of the ideas are unique and I would have never thought of them.

Facebook for Libraries

1.  I like that you can link right to the catalog to check on an item.
2. Advertising the services that a library offers and showing people pictures of how the event unfolded.
3. I think it's really neat that you can add book trailers.  Sometimes the videos are more exciting than just a quick review of the book.
4.  Our library has funny hours that they are open so it's nice to be able to check FB to see when they are open.

Hi, I'm actually a High School secretary with my eye on a school library job when it opens up.  I am currently in school working on a library tech degree.  I have lots of grandchildren all stationed all over the world so I love to travel and see them during the summer months.
